Pages take centre stage
Auto-hiding vertical tabs and top bar, keyboard access and the option to keep controls pinned.
Independent browser. In development.
A browser that gives your pages room to breathe. Built around a quiet interface, your own start page and control over your browsing.
Made for more space, less distraction and your own way of browsing.
ALREADY IN THE PROJECT
These features are already part of baWeb. We are continuing to test and improve them on different websites and computers.
Auto-hiding vertical tabs and top bar, keyboard access and the option to keep controls pinned.
Local, editable Speed Dial with folders and shortcuts. Your favourite places, arranged your way.
Open multiple pages side by side in one tab group. Session restoration preserves the layout.
Restore windows and tabs, reopen closed tabs and manage downloads in one place.
Keep your passwords in an encrypted vault. Add, edit or create a password and fill in your logins more easily.
Read articles with fewer distractions. Adjust the text size and appearance to suit you.
CONTROL BUILT IN
Block ads and trackers, browse in a private window and choose what each website can access. No telemetry or automatic sharing of the addresses you visit.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
The foundations are here. The next steps focus on reliability, compatibility and carefully chosen new capabilities.
Improve sign-ins on websites, fix developer tools and test video calls and screen sharing in everyday use.
Add useful extensions after checking that they install correctly and clearly explain what they can access. Extensions are currently turned off.
Read foreign-language pages in your own language, with a clear choice about where translation takes place. This feature is still planned.
Bring bookmarks, settings and tabs to your other devices, with encryption and your permission. This feature is still planned.
Project status: October 2026. Features already included are still being tested on different websites and computers.
